Sailing Courses

Ocean Sports Tuition are a provider of high quality RYA sailing courses for complete beginners through to RYA/MCA Yachtmaster™ all backed up with a complete range of shore based theory courses. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, learning and enjoyment. We strive to provide all our students with a positive individual experience from booking through to course completion. Since starting the company in 2004, we have accrued many years of experience delivering high quality training to meet a range of needs. Owner Andy and the small team of instructors he works with, will make sure your time with Ocean Sports Tuition is a good one.

All our RYA sailing courses are run on our yacht based in Shamrock Quay in Southampton and consists of the following courses:

• Start Yachting
• Competent Crew
• Day Skipper Practical
• Coastal Skipper
• Yachtmaster preparation

If you’re new to sailing then the RYA Start Yachting Course is a great starting point. The next step is the 5 day RYA Competent Crew Course and the RYA Day Skipper Course to realise your boating ambitions in no time at all.

For the those students that would like to venture afield then the 5 day RYA Coastal Skipper Course is a must, whilst doing this you will gain valuable experience as well as some if your 50 mile qualifying passages.

What is Included?

Our sailing courses include accommodation on board, mooring fees, food on board and waterproofs. The accommodation is shared so please be aware that you will be sharing a cabin, however there is an option for your own cabin if required.

*on completion of your RYA Day Skipper practical course you can apply for your ICC up to 24 metres.
