WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
To complete the RYA Cruising Instructor (Motor) Course you will need to have completed your Yachtmaster Offshore qualification and extensive logged sea time.
This course is not for newly qualified Yachtmaster skippers or beginners, as your instructors will expect you to have deepened practical knowledge of boating and real-life experience.
The fast-paced nature of this course means that there is little time for filling gaps in knowledge. You will need a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Power qualification with commercial endorsement, PPR, valid first aid certificate, and a pre-course knowledge check to book this course.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The RYA Cruising Instructor (Motor) Course provides comprehensive training into delivering an RYA course up Day Skipper level. This course will include an assessment of your knowledge, and will provide a structured framework for you to use to teach this knowledge to candidates.
You will be taught in a small group, but will also experience 1-2-1 training with an instructor trainer who will observe and deliver constructive feedback to ensure that you are meeting the structure and standards of an RYA qualified instructor.
