Is this the right course for me?
This course is aimed at anyone who would like to get out on the water. It will give students a basic understanding of power boating as the course focuses on boat handling & safety.
Do I need previous experience?
No, this course is suitable for all students over the age of 8 years old. However, students under 16 will have their certificates endorsed as follows: “To be under supervision of a responsible adult”.
What will I learn?
The course will teach boat handling skills including – anchoring, securing to moorings, turning in confined spaces, coming alongside, man overboard techniques, knowledge of equipment and rules of the road.
How much is the course and what does it include?
This course is £183.00 per person. The course will be taught in a group, however there is a maximum group size of 3. Alternatively, the course can be run on a one to one basis at a cost of £550.00. This course is an especially popular option for families that want to be introduced to boating skills together.
