RYA Online Theory Courses

The RYA Online Theory Courses range from 1 to 5 days in length. Below is the course information for our online courses. Please note, some of these are also available via face-to-face training. Our online theory courses have proven very popular, with excellent feedback from students who have undertaken the RYA VHF short range radio course, as well as the RYA Yachtmaster theory course.

Working with Navathome

To enable access to your online course (RYA Day Skipper, RYA Coastal Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster) we must share some of your personal data with Navathome via their website. The training website and database are held and maintained on a secure server. Navathome is an RYA training centre, specialising in online navigation training. They will not use your personal information for any other purpose.

Your payment information will be collected by Ocean Sports Tuition on behalf of Navathome, however it will not be retained once payment is made. In order to create your user account, you will need to enter your name and email address on the Navathome website. We will also provide your postal address in order to send your student pack. You will have access to the site for 6 months to complete the course. During this period, Navathome will hold your personal information on the website. Ocean Sports Tuition will also have access to this information via the Navathome database. Navathome may extend this period should you require further course access.

On completion of the course, Navathome will retain your name and email for the purpose of recording details of the course. Navathome will also keep a record of any certification you gain from it. Your instructor will not hold any information for Navathome student support after this date. Finally, please note that Ocean Sports Tuition may hold information for the provision of other training not associated with the Navathome course.
