RYA Motor Boat Cruising Courses

Ocean Sports Tuition has now been recognised to offer the full range of RYA Motor cruising courses. With a vast experience of delivering the RYA Powerboat scheme we have decided to expand the courses on offer. From booking through to course completion we strive to provide all our students with a supportive and friendly learning environment.

All our courses will take place on “Broke the Bank” a 36ft Bavaria sports cruiser. However if you’re a boat owner you can take advantage of our own boat training. Consequently, the training takes place on your boat, in your home port with you and your friends or family.

If you’re new to motor boating, the 2 day helmsman course is the perfect starting point. As a result of this course you will have a basic understanding of how to handle a motor cruiser in sheltered waters. However, if you’re looking to further develop your skills as a skipper then the 4 day RYA Day Skipper course is for you. On completion of the RYA Day Skipper course you will be able to take charge and also skipper a motor boat in familiar waters.

Whereas for those students that are looking to go on coastal passages the 5 day RYA Coastal Skipper course will teach you the skills to be able to skipper a motor boat on coastal passages by day and night time.

All our motor cruising courses are inclusive of fuel, moorings, breakfasts and lunches, as well as accommodation onboard. We also have an option to book the whole cabin whist on board making your stay a bit more comfortable.
